Mel's back!

Right so I'm back from Bangkok. It has been a wonderfully pleasant experience. The whole of three days was spent shopping. The good thing was that my accomodation is 5 mins walk to MBK. My accomodation is NOT a hotel but rather a guest house. Some sort like a backpackers inn.

My friends and I reached Bangkok late so there wasn't much things we could see as the shops were closing. Friday we went to chinatown where they sell wholesale stuff at cheap price. We were there at 10 a.m and left abt 5 p.m. The place is huge and messy, too many lanes and my friends and I had trouble finding where was square one. I bought wrapping paper, bags and some essentials from there. The thing abt wholesale is that if u buy one, they charge you higher. if u buy for than 3 you get it cheaper. so thats why I didnt buy much from there. Then went to MBK for dinner and some shopping. The food court has some nice foods and the tom yum soup is good. The bad thing abt MBK is that the shopping things are 5 times expensive than chattuchak. so again didn't buy much from that place too.

Sat, went to chattuchak reach there at 10 a.m until 5.30 pm. this place is humongus. it has soo many shops and soo many sections. didn't manage to see all the shops. too little time and too many shops. anyway, i bought slippers, mini pouch, watch, t shirts, bags, note books. this was the day that I spent the most money ard 200 bucks.

Sun, didnt buy much cause not enough money and the things are too expensive. they are really cutting ppl's throat with that price they state. and i was in a little bad mood. packing was a headache cause the shopping stuff was filled to the brim and i was afraid that i had to pay extra for excess baggage but thank goodness i don't have to. so yeah, experience was fun, but if i were to go back there, it wouldn't be that quick maybe in 2 yrs time.
